Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Inisio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website inisioapp.com and the Inisio client qualification web app, including the assessment links coaches share with their prospects.

This Policy is designed to comply with global privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil’s LGPD, Canada’s PIPEDA, and other applicable regulations.

By using our website or app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Who We Are

Inisio is a product of Coaching Redefined, the trading name of Andras Bodnar, a sole trader based in the UK, who is the data controller for the information described in this Policy (except where section 4 says otherwise).

3. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account data (coaches): name, email address, password (stored in encrypted, hashed form), and the business details you provide, such as your website, offer and coaching approach.
  • Assessment data (prospects): your name and the answers you give when completing a coach’s assessment. Only your name is required; anything else you share is your choice.
  • Billing data: subscription status and payment history. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider, Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and usage data needed to run and secure the service.
  • Communications: messages and feedback you send us.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data (such as health or biometric data), and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Prospects should avoid sharing sensitive information in free-text answers unless they are comfortable with their coach seeing it.

4. Information Prospects Submit Through a Coach’s Assessment

When you complete an assessment through a coach’s Inisio link, your answers and the reports generated from them are shared only with that coach. The coach decides why and how this information is used, so for this data the coach is the controller and Inisio processes it on the coach’s behalf.

If you want to access, correct or delete the information you submitted, please contact the coach directly. You can also contact us at [email protected] and we will pass your request on and help where we can.

5. Sources of Personal Information

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, complete an assessment, subscribe, or contact us.
  • Automatically: through essential cookies and server logs (see section 17).
  • From our payment provider: confirmation of payments and subscription status from Stripe.

6. Purposes for Collection and Use

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide, operate and improve Inisio, including generating assessments and reports
  • Create and manage your account and subscription
  • Communicate with you about your account, assessments and support requests
  • Send product updates or marketing, only where you have agreed to receive them
  • Keep the service secure and prevent fraud and misuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

7. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the service you signed up for)
  • Legitimate interests (running, improving and securing the service)
  • Your consent (for optional marketing emails)
  • Legal obligations (for example, keeping financial records)

8. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share data only with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments and subscriptions), our hosting and AI processing provider (which runs the app, stores data and generates assessment content and reports), and our email delivery provider (account and notification emails).
  • The coach whose assessment a prospect completes (see section 4).
  • Legal authorities if required by law.
  • A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.

We require all service providers to keep your personal data secure and to treat it in accordance with the law.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred and processed outside the UK/EU, including in the United States, by our service providers. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or adequacy decisions, as required by law.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Coach account data is kept while the account is active. Assessment responses are kept while the coach’s account is active, unless the coach or prospect asks us to delete them sooner. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

11. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct or delete your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose
  • Request deletion or correction of your data
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your data (we do not sell or share it as defined by the CCPA)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

14. Brazil, Canada and Other Jurisdictions

If you are located in Brazil, Canada or another region with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights under local law. We comply with the data protection laws that apply where we operate.

15. AI-Generated Content and Automated Processing

Inisio uses AI to write assessment questions and to produce reports from a prospect’s answers, including a fit and readiness summary for the coach. These reports support the coach’s own judgement; Inisio does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on anyone. Any decision about working together is made by the coach and the prospect. You can object to this processing or ask for human review by contacting us at [email protected].

16. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it.

17. Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to help a website work. Inisio uses only essential cookies, which keep you signed in and protect your session. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies.

Our payment provider, Stripe, may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud. Please see Stripe’s privacy policy for details.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when they are being sent, but you will not be able to sign in to Inisio without essential cookies. If we add any non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this Policy.

18. Privacy Policies of Other Websites

Our website may contain links to other websites, such as our blog. This Privacy Policy applies only to inisioapp.com and the Inisio app. If you follow a link to another website, please read its privacy policy.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date above.

20. How to Contact the Appropriate Authorities

If you wish to report a complaint, or feel we have not addressed your concern satisfactorily, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK or your local data protection authority.

If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, please contact us at [email protected].
